Legal framework EU REACH

The REACH Regulation (EG 1907/2006) describes the obligations of companies as well as governments on the handling of chemical substances. Obligations vary according to your role in the chain. The REACH Regulation applies to all substances that are produced, imported, processed or traded within the EU. Some substances as well as some uses may be exempted from (some) obligations under REACH.

Legal framework CLP

The CLP Regulation (EU/1271/2008) describes the obligations for companies on the classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures. As the CLP Regulation is based on a global system of classification, the safety symbols can be used worldwide.
